I am a practicing painter and maker; art teacher and registered Art Therapist.
I trained in Fine Art in the 70’s, and while teaching art in mainstream and
special schools, became fascinated by the healing potentials of art making.
I completed a three-year post-graduate training in Art Psychotherapy at
Goldsmiths College, the University of London in 1996. Practicing as a therapist
within the adult mental health service, drug and alcohol dependency, and for
the past 12 years I have run groups and provided one-to-one art therapy in
schools and institutions for young adults.
My experience is both as a group work facilitator and as a participant in a wide
range of self-development, dance and movement processes.
I have been facilitating experimental art workshops together with Sabine since
2013 in the UK, Germany and the Canaries. This will be our third year at Anilio.
