A workshop with Olina Lorencova
This workshop is professionally designed for people who want to learn more about how to make their own films.
Can you imagine filming your own emotions?
Do you think it’s possible to express your emotions in a film, although you don’t feel them currently?
What would happen if you hide one of your senses?
We will learn to be in the here and now, to be in contact with nature and to look lovingly at our believes and perceptions, before we start filming.
We will make use of dance and music and the motion sequence, combined with sensing our intuitions, will help us go much deeper into our inner feelings. Using the Theatre Forum will also help us to get over our resistances.
Producing films is a group work.
You will learn the differences between theatre and filmmaking as we examine how to separate the scenes and develop an understanding of visual storytelling.
You will improve your technical and creative understanding of production processes, learn about set working practices and using Panasonic and Sony HD cameras.
We will explain and help you with the postproduction work, using the editing program Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac for finalizing your film.
All this will help you develop your own film.
In this workshop, you are going to learn how to be an Actor, a Camera Operator, a Director and an Editor, all at the same time!
At the end, we’ll look at two or three films which represent different life experiences.
This is an example from the last years, what the groups participants filmed themselves:
How exciting is this?!
