At Alexandros, Shakti will be offering:
Kundalini Yoga is a powerful practice that blends asana, mudra, mantra and pranayama to simultaneously stimulate the creative life force energy and cultivate the neutral mind. It is a practice of awareness that effects deep personal transformation, whilst toning and strengthening the physical body and nervous system.
Shakti’s classes are delivered to beautiful sacred music, with warmth, humour and guidance for all levels. She is a KRI certified instructor, with wide-ranging teaching experience and particular expertise in the teachings on Womanhood, Authentic Relationships and Sacred Sexuality.
Tantra is so many things to so many people. To Shakti, this world of embodied spirituality felt like home from the very first, powerful encounter: a pathway of truth, love, wholeness and sacred intimacy. Following her own exploration and training, Shakti has most recently been drawn to engage with tantra as it is conveyed in ancient texts, such as the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. In these poetic verses and the meditation practices they detail, lie all the answers to the ecstasy of self-realisation. Rooted in the every-day and as simple as the breath, there is a subtlety to the meaning of sexual union to be discovered here that goes far beyond physical intercourse. Shakti is now passionate about sharing these practices and drawing ever-deeper inspiration from them.
