Kalikalos holidays offer much more than workshops. The venue at Xenonas Martiou is a community-based holistic education Centre, and we offer there the opportunity to experience a holiday that is “something deeper than a suntan”, mingling with us, sharing in our attunements, swiming in the crystal clear Aegean sea, hiking the mountain trails, enjoying a meal at the Centre or a local Taverna, and making new friends who share the holistic perspective. Whether you come as a workshop participant, or simply as a guest for a relaxing yet meaningful vacation, you are bound to experience the power and beauty of this special place.
Living-in-Community (LCG) non-workshop participating guests are most welcome at the Centre. The rate for full board is £175/€250 per week (£25/€40 per day).
Please note that LCG guests are considered community members and therefore invited to participate in cooking and clean-up rotas, typically one 3-hour cooking shift a week, and a couple of 35 min. after-dinner clean-up shifts. We ask our guests to attend community meetings and they are always welcome to join any non-workshop group activities, such as Qi Gong, Yoga and Tai Chi which occur regularly. Our Living-in-Community guests themselves often offer their own skills and healing sessions on an ad hoc basic.
Apart from scheduled group or staff meditations the universal sanctuary is open 24 hours a day for quiet contemplation.
The Centre provides one free daily transport in the Centre vehicles to and from local beaches, which are about 20 min away by car, or 55 min by foot. Normally these lifts are coordinated to the workshop sessions. As LCG guests are not tied to the workshop schedule, they often elect to walk to the beach at times of their own choice, and then return to the Centre later in the day on one of our pickup runs for workshops participants (5:15 pm and 7:00 pm).
*When there is a need for additional Community Meetings during the week, dinner is moved forward to 8:00pm so that the meeting can commence at 9:30 pm.
Families are welcome at the Centre during selected weeks (please enquire), and on those weeks we offer half-price rates for accompanied young children aged 6 through 12. An experienced staff member may be available for child care for children during the workshop sessions of selected workshops. Please contact us or phone 01463 - 231 913 or +30 697 550 2736 for further details.
