Expressing the Inexpressible

Jeff Foster, a UK teacher of nonduality, clearly and without compromise points to the spiritual freedom, liberation and enlightenment that is always fully present, right in the midst of Life, but is apparently ignored by the seeking, suffering mind in its desperate, lifelong quest for “something more”. This is not a new message: it has been pointed at throughout the ages, in all the world's major spiritual/wisdom traditions: Advaita (Nonduality), Sufism, Zen, Dzogchen, as well as Gnostic Christianity
The simple and direct message (which Jeff calls Life Without A Centre) is this: there is only Oneness. And in Oneness, the dream of separation arises, the idea that you are a “person in the world”, with a heavy past and an uncertain future, separate from everyone and everything else. And in this dream there can be great suffering, because to a separate person, life will never seems complete, and a longing for Home will pervade all action.

And in this clear seeing, in this Openness, in the space where a solid “person” used to be, there is now only ever ease, only ever lightness, simplicity, spontaneity. Only a life living itself, effortlessly.
This rare, revolutionary message points to nothing less than absolute freedom, right here, right now. Welcome to the end of the spiritual search.
The retreat will follow pretty closely the usual rhythms of this Centre. Before breakfast we anticipate a few participants and/or Centre staff will offer stretching, Qi Qong, Tai Chi or Hatha Yoga. From about 10am to 1 pm we will meet as a group to discuss whatever questions arise and whatever clarifications can be made about our concepts of liberation, awakening, and enlightenment. In the afternoon Jeff will be available for 1-1 interviews on the beach. On some evenings, we will meet again as a group from about 6 - 8pm before dinner.
Please remember that each of us will be on the dinner cooking rota (6pm - 8:30pm) and the dinner clean-up rota (approximately 9:15pm — 9:50pm) once during the week. This, and leaving our rooms as clean as we found them on arrival, is our very minimal “Karma Yoga” for the week.
