- Do you find old patterns
blocking the love you want to enjoy with your partner, family or friends?
- Are there experiences in your past which mean you are easily triggered in the present?
- Do you long to release stuck energy and open your heart?
- Would you just love to be able to stay in your own power even in challenging situations which bring up old pain for you?
- Are you aware of holding yourself back from shining fully in the world?
- Are your ready to heal old pain and move on?
This workshop will draw on Marshall Roseberg’s
Nonviolent Communication process and the
living energy of needs concept developed by Robert Gonzales and Susan Skye. She will introduce some of the
NVC Dance Floors materials which she created with Bridget Belgrave. We will develop needs-based consciousness within our group, within the community and within ourselves, then allow authenticity to flow and transformation to emerge.

The NVC Dance Floors are spatial maps made up of large cards that place processes on the floor in various layouts called “dances”. Each card represents a step in a dance of communication and can be used in any sequence to support authentic communication and personal transformation.
Opportunities Don’t Come Much Better Than This:
- an internationally acclaimed workshop leader
- personal transformation and development
- afternoons on beautiful unspoilt beaches
- learning new skills for compassionate communication
- a taste of living in community
- the option of evenings drinking or dancing in the nearby village
The aim of this week is to offer a safe space in which to explore, learn, relax and refresh our inner selves together. Join us and expect some shift!
Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
NVC is a process of communication developed by
Marshall Rosenberg in the USA in the 1960’s as he searched for a way to help people live in harmony, learn how to communicate with respect, compassion and honesty, and enjoy life.
NVC builds an awareness of how to stay connected to the humanity of ourselves and others, and offers specific tools to stay in this often surprisingly transformative way of interacting. NVC leads to people being heard and understood, finding increased clarity in communication, and feeling a connectedness and warmth of heart that arises from relating in this way.

Human needs are the essence of this approach and connection with the living energy of our needs is transformative and spiritually nourishing.
Gina Lawrie writes:
I have a background in psychology, social work, management development, teaching meditation, training and consultancy in personal and organisational change.
I draw on many approaches in my work, including Gestalt and Complexity theory, as well as Nonviolent Communication (NVC). I am an independent consultant in the field of organisational and personal change and, since 1997 a trainer with the
Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), a global organisation whose vision is a world where all people’s needs are valued and conflicts are resolved peacefully.
In addition to the UK, I have worked regularly in Australasia, Singapore, US and Denmark. I first discovered my passion for the workshop holiday combination in 2004 at Kalikalos and have offered at least one per year since in various beautiful locations. I am especially excited to return to the centre at Kissos.
