A Fun-filled Family Holiday
- Have you ever been on a holiday where the kids enjoy washing up?
- Would you like a holiday designed for kids, with space for adults to have fun, learn and connect?
- Would you like your holiday to inspire you to live the life of your dreams?
Come and Play!
Welcome and thank you for finding us!
Come and join us for two weeks, of sun, play, connection and laughter! All three of us are mothers, and all three of us went to Kalikalos with our children and were enriched, inspired and enchanted by it, which is why we’re back leading the workshops, and why we want you to join us too! We welcome children, single parents, coupled parents, men and women, straight or gay, friends, single people and young people of all ages.
All of us are experienced at working with children, young people and adults and we are all highly qualified and experienced in our fields. We are working together to create this year's two-week family holiday programme which will produce a vibrant intergenerational community experience full of energy and creativity.
What will we do?
The great thing about this holiday is that although there is structure and routine, there is also lots of room to create the kind of holiday that you want! Morning sessions begin with an attunement, which is our way of finding out how you are, what you would like, and how we are doing in meeting your needs.
The first activity of the morning could be drama, drawing, massage, yoga, depending on what we as a group have decided upon. On this holiday anyone in the group can lead, anyone can share their skills and talents. In previous years we have had children teaching us games and songs, and adults leading us in, singing! All three of the leaders will have prepared to lead sessions, and equally we will be prepared to step away and let you lead and get involved as you wish.
The second morning session may be a continuation of the first session, or that at this point the adults go and find out about, for example, horoscopes, Transactional Analysis or Mindfulness from the leaders, or each other, while the children paint, or play. Parents co-operate with each other to get the adult time they need and to give other adults time out, by getting involved with the children and young people.
Afternoons
In the afternoons, the Centre staff drive us down the beach where there is shade for the younger children and those of us who don’t need any more wrinkles. The sea is warm and clear and perfect for paddling, swimming and snorkelling.

Evenings
After a vegetarian dinner, some evenings are left empty for you to sit around and chat to your new friends, or go on moonlight walks through the forest.
Once a week we all go out for a meal, and at the end of each week we have a fire side celebration of songs and reflections.
You can join in as much or as little as you like of this. If you wish to bring musical instruments, toys, etc, that would be great!

Kalikalos
The intention of Kalikalos is to provide a space where we can explore the gifts that come from living, working, playing and sharing in a two-week fully authentic multicultural community that the family holiday creates.
There are no paid staff on this holiday, we all share in the gardening, cooking, washing up and cleaning. These basic chores are fun when you’re doing them with other people!
We all love Kalikalos. The place is beautiful. The light is sharp and bright, the air is clean and there is space to really just ‘be’. However, it is the people who make Kalikalos the experience that it is and we can’t wait for you to join us, to share the magic which has brought us all back.
Warmly yours, from Caroline, Dorota, Julie (and between us 6 children aged from 5- 18)
