Music, Song and Dance
Many of us came to this planet with a purpose: to help create a society which is in tune with Nature, each other and the Divine.
This week, Music, Song and Dance provide pathways to the heart, to connect beyond differences of age, culture and belief-systems. By following the ancient traditions of singing and dancing together, we can touch the places in our heart where we find unity, love and strength to share with our world.
Be prepared for joyful creativity, empowerment in your own musicianship and connecting with Spirit. Beyond singing, dancing and beach-outings this week will have a special ‘Findhorn flavor’ of attunements, playful creation of delicious meals and community celebration, bringing love into everything we do.
What They Say About Barbara's Workshops
Meeting Barbara Swetina this summer at Kalikalos, I was struck by her many talents. She might be playing the accordion, guitar or recorder at tavernas, village squares or beaches. People stopped to listen, young children watching her in awe, and immediately the atmosphere was transformed through her inspiration and love for music. — Gerry A, London
Barbara radiated so much joy and a contagious sense of play through music and dance; whenever I think back of our time together or listen to her beautiful music on CD's, I feel transported and my heart fills with appreciation to have shared moments of pure light and delight with this lovely human being. Namaste! — Mihaela Y., Vancouver, Canada
Thank you especially Barbara, for giving me better songs to sing, and surrounding us all with the love in your music. I believe this experience unlocked my heart and freed me from the prison of my grief - allowing me to dare to feel love again. I am sure I am not the only person you have helped to healing in this way, and I think that what you do is awe-inspiring. — Mark B, England

Kalikalos is run by and as a full community comprising the unpaid volunteer staffers and our guests. So, as a workshop participant you'll join the cooking team once in the week, and help occasionally with clean up, gardening or admin. The work is not onerous, about 6-7 hr of "Karma Yoga" in the week. This makes our programmes more affordable and helps us build community together.
