Way of Council
The ancient practice of sitting in a circle, speaking and listening from the heart, can enrich any relationship – at home, in school, in the workplace, in community.
Council is almost a spiritual practise that trains the trust in group wisdom, in the ability of groups to find all answers on questions, they have, within themselves.
This wokshop is especially designed to introduce the non-violent communication form “council”. We will explore the diverse ways and possibilities of using council in given specific situations.
Join us and explore thinking like a circle, moving from heart-centred awareness, and expanding our inner and outer horizons. Council is a gateway to deeper communication, intercultural understanding and the non-violent resolution of conflict – a place where destiny and the present moment meet.
Way of Council is the ancient way of the circle to communicate as individuals and a collective in a group, used by ancestral and tribal peoples. No prior experience of council is necessary

Calling the Circle
We are asked by the Elders to be in the heart, that this is the consciousness of our planet. That if we wish to shift with these times in support of and by the living being that we walk upon, the lives we dream to lead,
we must live our way of the heart and live it fully.
The Star Nations and the Ancestors are calling us to remember our dreams, remember the earth and recreate the ceremonies, blessings and gratitudes which keep our world the way we love it, alive.
HOW
Using Council, the magic way of the circle, Sharing and Meeting as container and facilitator, a group is invited to gather, experience and learn about some of the ways of council, identify useful practices for self and group facilitation, explore tools for social permaculture, collective consciousness and dreaming.

My Soul Purpose in this life is to work with Communication.
Since 2002 I have facilitated the talking circle Way Of Council with workshops and drop-in sessions, both in the UK and abroad. I also use elements of the Forum that the ZEGG community have developed over two decades, as a tool for group and individual transparency in the area of personal expression, decision-making and conflict resolution.
I have practiced the disciplines of yoga and meditation for over twenty years, lectured on creating reality, practice and teach a 9-day self-development training since 1995 known as the Avatar Course.
I am currently a member of the Spiral of 5 in the European Council Network (ECN), a group of people entrusted with the role of best serving the growing network of council facilitators

Kalikalos is run by and as a full community comprising the unpaid volunteer staffers and our guests. So, as a workshop participant you'll join the cooking team once in the week, and help occasionally with clean up, gardening or admin. The work is not onerous, about 6-7 hr of "Karma Yoga" in the week. This makes our programmes more affordable and helps us build community together.
