Experiencing Spirit in Community

hat we do in life is not nearly so important as how we do it. Spiritual practice is not just about sitting cross-legged or chanting mantras, and enlightenment is not reserved for Indian yogi's or Buddhist monks. Right here in our everyday life together, in how we live, work and play is all the basic material we need to live a spiritual life, one that gives meaning, joy and purpose to all our activities, and one which connects us to each other and to the greater whole.
This is a week of living together in community, putting our spiritual principles into daily practice.
The facilitators will share tools for enhancing group consciousness and communication collected from their own experience from more than 15 years of living at the Findhorn Community in Scotland. Together we will spend time as a group working and playing, sharing our deepest truths, experiences, feelings and longings, meditating, dancing and communing with nature. The week provides an opportunity to meet others who are also drawn to combining inner and outer work, others who are seeking alternative ways of living fulfilled lives in a world whose values sometimes seem materialistic, atheistic and meaningless.
The week will follow a basic structure of alternating work, play and group process. Working together gives us a rich and practical context for learning about ourselves and others, based on the principle pioneered by Findhorn that "work is love in action." Together we will plan and cook our main meal of the day, do the essential cleaning and housecare, and work together in the garden. But we will also have ample time for the beach, for games and for quiet walks in the magnificent Pilion Forest. In all our work and play we aim to create an atmosphere that connects us to the transformative and transcendent spiritual dimension of our nature. So this is an active week, and you need to come with a willingness to participate fully, give of yourself and meet and share with others.
Please note that to insure a deep and intimate week for everyone this workshop is limited to a maximum of 14 participants.
Please note: Kalikalos offer a 10% discount for booking two successive workshop weeks
