She is a passionate advocate of women’s sexual and spiritual empowerment, a masterful curator of full-bodied spirituality and an eternal student on the path of authentic living and relating, with a gift for holding compassionate, yet transformative space.
Her training spans conscious dance facilitation (The Nia Technique, White, Blue & Brown Belt), Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, Authentic Relationships, Sexual Awakening for Women, Goddess spirituality, couples counselling, bodywork and Reiki healing.
Shakti synthesises her offerings under the banner: Awakening Your Ecstatic Potential.
Alongside her online courses, workshops and private sessions, Shakti writes an inspiring blog, interviews leading lightworkers and is currently in the process of publishing her first book. She is also a devoted mother to her two teenage children.
At Alexandros, Shakti will be offering:
Kundalini Yoga is a powerful practice that blends asana, mudra, mantra and pranayama to simultaneously stimulate the creative life force energy and cultivate the neutral mind. It is a practice of awareness that effects deep personal transformation, whilst toning and strengthening the physical body and nervous system.
Shakti’s classes are delivered to beautiful sacred music, with warmth, humour and guidance for all levels. She is a KRI certified instructor, with wide-ranging teaching experience and particular expertise in the teachings on Womanhood, Authentic Relationships and Sacred Sexuality.
Tantra is so many things to so many people. To Shakti, this world of embodied spirituality felt like home from the very first, powerful encounter: a pathway of truth, love, wholeness and sacred intimacy. Following her own exploration and training, Shakti has most recently been drawn to engage with tantra as it is conveyed in ancient texts, such as the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. In these poetic verses and the meditation practices they detail, lie all the answers to the ecstasy of self-realisation. Rooted in the every-day and as simple as the breath, there is a subtlety to the meaning of sexual union to be discovered here that goes far beyond physical intercourse. Shakti is now passionate about sharing these practices and drawing ever-deeper inspiration from them.
DanceIn2U & Dancing the Goddess
Following 10 years as a teacher of the Nia Technique (a conscious dance-movement form, blending the dance arts, martial arts and mind-body awareness and integration techniques), Shakti began teaching her own, less structured, intuitive dance-form that gave space for the unfolding of a group energy and process. She has since collaborated with live musicians in offering Tantra Mantra Dance and, over the past few years, created a women-only workshop and performance group – Dancing the Goddess – in which the magic, power and mystery of the Divine Feminine is experienced.
Shakti will also be available for one-to-one healing and coaching sessions to address issues around love, sex and relationship, and living ecstatically.
