Relational Arts

with Karis Mae

July 1 - 8, 2026

The quality of our lives is determined by the quality of our relationships.

This week-long retreat is an invitation to explore and deepen your capacity for authentic connection — with yourself, with others and with the world around you.

Relational Arts Main Image

The art of relating begins at home — within. If you’re not present and connected with yourself, then there’s no one at home to meet. As you grow in self-awareness, self-love and your ability to express your true self, you unlock the potential for richer, more fulfilling relationships.

Relational Arts invites you to show up as your real, unpolished and wonderfully unique self. We’ll explore the rich landscape of human experience, together with others. It takes courage. It’s not always easy or comfortable. But the reward is a life of deeper, more meaningful connections.

Together, we’ll create a “relational laboratory” where you can practise connection skills that will serve you for life. By slowing down, connecting to your body and opening your heart, we’ll explore the threads that weave together the space where intimacy can be felt and shared.

Through guided practices in pairs, small groups and the full circle, you’ll discover new ways to relate through words, movement, body and breath. Every interaction is a moment of discovery that calls for openness, presence and a willingness to meet the unknown.

In the supportive environment of a loving group, you’ll have the chance to be seen, felt and heard in ways that may not have been met in earlier life. A new imprint of belonging is possible, not as a concept, but as a lived, embodied experience.

The workshop will respond sensitively to the needs of the group and may include the following elements:

  • Presence and relational awareness
  • Movement and embodiment practices
  • Communication and listening
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Consent and attunement, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Touch and connection practices
  • Circle work and shadow exploration

This is an invitation to:

  • Say a deeper “yes” to all that you are
  • Listen to your body’s wisdom
  • Be fully alive and present with your experience
  • Show up as your radically authentic self
  • Communicate your boundaries, wants and needs with grace and care
  • Reclaim your natural play, spontaneity and joy
  • Build your self-esteem and relational confidence
  • Receive new imprints of being seen, met and attuned to by a group

Who is this for?

This retreat welcomes individuals of all relationship statuses and preferences who:

Are tired of small talk and crave deeper connections.

Long to be met and held by community.

Are curious about exploring new ways of relating.

Join us for a week of living and practising the art of relating in a supportive, vibrant community. Experience the joy of being fully alive and present in your body and feelings. Through shared learning, vulnerability and authentic expression, you can rewire old habits and open to new ways of meeting yourself and others.

Part workshop, part holiday, part community immersion, this retreat takes place at Kalikalos community, located in the natural paradise of Greece’s Pelion Peninsula. Kalikalos is nestled in a wild chestnut forest, offering simplicity in nature. The centre is surrounded by magnificent nature and just a short drive from beaches with crystal turquoise waters.

With the mountains, sea and lush green landscape around us, nature will support us in dropping more deeply into connection with ourselves. When we awaken our senses, we awaken our capacity to feel and experience sensuality and life.

Mornings will be dedicated to workshop sessions, while the afternoons are free to explore, swim, hike, or relax amidst the outstanding beauty of this Mediterranean haven. It’s a perfect setting to unwind and be nourished by both nature and community.

As part of the Kalikalos community experience, we’ll start our week with gathering in circle with the wider community and close it with a fireside circle on the last evening to share reflections and celebrations. We’ll take part in community activities such as helping with meals and we’ll share delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals together under the grapevine cover.

When we awaken our senses, we awaken our capacity to feel and to live fully. Surrounded by the mountains, sea and sky, nature will support us to return home to ourselves.

Everything unfolded so organically, with a beautiful balance of structure and flow. Highly recommend this experience to anyone drawn to deeper relational work.”

“A safe and joyful laboratory to explore many relational and embodiment practices. The pace and holding allowed all of us to show ourselves and be guided and supported in a way that feels authentic, growthful and empowering. The setting of Kalikalos is truly a gift to the heart, senses and soul.”

“Karis is a skilled and sensitive workshop leader with a lot of heart and has a unique ability to sense into the group energy.”

“Very humble yet powerful way of making the relational topic so easy to capture and take in, beautiful community to practice it with after the morning exercises, and inspiring way of being as the facilitator. I am happy I’ve made such a long way to Kalikalos to participate in it.”

“Relational Arts should be mandatory for every human. If only it could be taught in schools, in the workplace, in families. Please give yourself this gift… it will ripple through your relationships and the world.”

“Karis holds space with a beautiful combination of playfulness and tenderness. Yet most of all, her powerful ability to create a sense of safety, containment and encouragement. I felt able to show the parts of me that always want to hide. At times it was challenging witnessing and being present to the not so likable parts of myself. But allowing the my mask, my fears and insecurities to be fully revealed and witnessed by the group was really healing.”

“The setting at Kalikalos community was ideal — nurturing, open, and surrounded by stunning nature. Beyond the workshop itself, I loved the meaningful connections with others, the food, the beach, and the whole atmosphere.”

“A well structured, delightfully facilitated space held with tenderness and care.”

“Thank you for this deeply touching experience. I feel richly gifted from your workshop.”

“The workshop deeply nourished me and has helped me already with my friends, family and loved people in my life. Since the workshop I’ve been practising what I learnt from you and it works for me so well. I am grateful for meeting you, the group and the Kalikalos community.”
