Lynn Campbell

My practice and my work as a Movement Medicine Teacher is deeply part of who I am.

I have worked in this field of body work and well-being for many many years: originally for over ten years as a primary school teacher and special needs teacher .  In 1994 I gave up full time school based teaching to focus on movement and body wisdom and to study for my MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the Laban Centre in London.

Since then I’ve worked in Newcastle as a freelance artist, therapist and teacher specialising in offering movement play and dance to young children and children with autism. I’ve also co parented 3 children. And discovered the art of trapeze !

This fulfilling, challenging work took a turn for the richer and deeper when I started my dancing and training with the School of Movement Medicine.

My Movement Medicine teaching includes work in nature, ceremony, SEER and ritual, open classes and workshops and work with children and families. I also weave Movement Medicine into my groups and 1:1 work with pregnant women and new mothers.
