Gregory Rouillard

Gregory grew up a long time ago in a small mountain town in the U.S. state of Colorado. He attended the Naval Academy and served as a pilot in the Marine Corps for twenty years. Following this first career, he has been increasingly drawn to the principles and practices of community, including how people relate with each other, how they make decisions together and how they respond to conflict.

For more than ten years, Gregory has been working with people in various communities around the U.S. and in Europe. These communities include numerous Nonviolent Communication (NVC) organizations, cohousing communities, schools and faith communities. Since 2015 he has been coming to Kalikalos every summer in a variety of roles.

For the last five years Gregory has been spending winters in Austria and summers in Greece. He is currently very interested in the intersection of community and family, especially as it unfolds when people bring their own hopes and dreams for meaningful and nurturing relationships into the community sphere. He is humbly thrilled to join Gabrielle for a second year of offering this transformative workshop at Kalikalos.

Gregory holds a Master of Divinity degree from Naropa University and is an authorized Mindfulness Instructor. He is also a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication.
